The Endless Adventure
A downloadable game for Windows
EDIT: It was pointed out that I never mentioned Z was confirm and X was cancel. So I'm doing that now.
My submission to the 2023 Dungeon Crawler Game Jam.
I'm happy yo have finally participated in a Jam, and I found this genre a fun one to work on.
You can Fullscreen with F4, but I forgot to add the toggle to the end screen, so it might be a little fiddly to get out.
Declarations:
I developed most the environmental generation system in prep time before the jam, though I refined it and created the end graphics during the Jam.
The Dungeon music was made specifically for the game, but the battle music, victory jingle and sound effects were pre-made.
24/04/23 Update:
Small update. I did some a little work on this during the voting period. Mostly visual; the skeleton now looks like a skeleton and not a floating pixel skull.
But I did manage to get the inventory working, and there are some basic effects added onto the combat to make it a bit more impactful.
I also added the shop back in, even though you still can't buy anything.

Hey, since you didn't want spoilers on the game page, I thought it'd be safer to openly discuss it here. Or at least less noticable.
If someone's reading this and they don't want to get SPOILED, stop reading.
And I guess I can delete this afterwards, and I'll rate and comment proper.
So, firstly, is the 'Roles Reversed' thing that even after you beat the game the player character doesn't want to leave? Honestly I wasn't sure if the theme was utilized or not.
Or was it that I hadn't beaten the game properly? I actually got stuck, and just guess the combination. I speculated that maybe all the complex puzzles was just leading me to a very silly answer.
I got all the code words (I think) but couldn't figure out what order to put them in on the picture box.
I guessed the colour matching puzzle.
I figured out the number sequence on George but couldn't figure out it's application. I thought maybe 5040 would be a Phone Number, but it wasn't.
So tell me, what's going on and how did I do?
Was entertained xD love a nice short indie game, and these game jams are great for such an experience! Loved it and keep up the great work! Left a follow =) Your game starts at 23:05 in the video
